Biography

About me
I am an independent consultant Forensic Archaeologist specialising in the search, location and recovery of human remains in a forensic context. I have 20 years’ experience as an archaeologist and 18 years’ experience as a specialist practising forensic archaeology. My work and research focus on improving the delivery of Forensic Forensic Archaeology at national and international level.
Past Work Experience
My current and previous roles include: Senior Forensic Consultant to the Office of the Director of Authorised Intervention at Tuam, Senior Forensic Archaeologist to the Independent Commission for the Location of Victims Remains, the Mother and Baby Homes Commission of Investigation and the provision of specialist services to the Irish Police, An Garda SĂ­ochĂĄna.
My Education
I have a BA and an MA in Archaeology (University College Cork), an MSc in Forensic Archaeology and Crime Scene Investigation (Bradford University) and a PhD in Forensic Archaeology (Queens University Belfast).
I also have qualifications specific to my role in the delivery of Expert Witness testimony.
