Appointment of General Editor, European Journal of Archaeology
The EAA Executive Board (ExB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Zena Kamash as the new General Editor of the European Journal of Archaeology. Dr. Kamash brings a wealth of experience in archaeological research, academic publishing, and editorial leadership to the role, as well as six years of expertise acting as the journal’s Deputy Editor.
As General Editor, Dr Kamash will continue the journal’s mission to publish cutting-edge research and foster dialogue across the diverse disciplines within European archaeology and beyond. Her vision and expertise will undoubtedly strengthen the journal’s position as a leading platform for archaeological scholarship.
Dr. Kamash will be formally appointed as General Editor at the Annual Membership Business Meeting (AMBM) in Belgrade, Serbia, on 5 September. While that event will provide the appropriate occasion to express our gratitude to the outgoing General Editor, Cate Frieman, for her leadership of the European Journal of Archaeology, we would like to take this opportunity to commend Cate for her outstanding contributions during her ten years of dedicated service to the journal.
