The EAA institutes prizes, awards, and honours relevant to its aims: the European Archaeological Heritage Prize, awarded to an individual, institution, (local or regional) government or an (European or international) officer or body for an outstanding contribution to the protection and presentation of European archaeological heritage; the EAA Student Award, given to the author of the best student paper presented at the EAA Annual Meeting; and Honorary membership of the EAA, awarded to institutions, organisations, and/or individuals who provide substantial support to the Association.
