Use of “cookies“

1.1.The EAA uses cookies on the EAA Website to improve the functionality of the Website and to analyze website traffic. A "cookie" can be described as a short text file that is stored in the User's browser by the website visited. The main point is that cookies enable the EAA and the EAA Website to recognize the User's browser and to remember certain data and information, which is then used to improve the quality and convenience of the services provided, such as the speed of loading the website, its accessibility, the User's preferences regarding language, fonts, display preferences, etc

1.2.The EAA Website uses the following cookies:

1.2.1.Technical cookies - so called essential cookies, which are used for the correct functioning of the EAA Website and for the correct display of all functions offered to the User by the EAA. They are also responsible for the correct setting of filters, privacy settings or for managing user account logins. These cookies cannot be deactivated at the User's request and thus, the User's consent is not required for their use. These cookies can then be stored in the User's browser for varying lengths of time, i.e. some are limited by the duration of the session and only exist for the duration of the web browser launch and some cookies remain in the User's browser until a set date or until they are manually deleted by the User.

1.2.2.Analytical cookies - these cookies are used by the EAA to evaluate and analyze user behavior on the EAA Website. They help to evaluate data relating to traffic to the EAA Website. The data analyzed by these cookies is analyzed in aggregate, i.e. without identifiers that would allow the identity of a specific user to be determined (this is so-called anonymous tracking). The User has the option of not accepting or deactivating these cookies, however, the EAA subsequently loses the possibility of optimizing web measures. The User's consent is required for the use of these cookies.

1.2.3.Marketing cookies - these are used to personalize commercial messages and advertising on the EAA Website. On the basis of the data collected in this way, the content of the EAA's commercial communications to the User is adapted and customized. The User has the option not to accept or to deactivate these cookies, however, in this case the User acknowledges that it may not be possible to display to the User some of the services offered by the EAA.

1.3.Consent to the use of cookies, which is conditional on the User's consent, can be withdrawn at any time by the User disabling the storage of cookies in their browser for the EAA Website.
