Travelling with children

Parenting rooms and baby changing facilities are available in One Elmwood, our brand new student centre, which is located very near the conference venue. A key for the parenting rooms can be obtained from the reception.

You are welcome to breastfeed when you are out and about in Belfast but businesses that are members of the ‘Breastfeeding Welcome Here Scheme’ are committed to accommodating and supporting families who want to breastfeed and will have a poster displayed on their premises. Children are very welcome at the annual meeting but, If you wish to avail of child care, one option is the Flexi Care on offer at Rascals day nursery for weekdays from 7.30am to 6.00pm. This currently costs £8 per hour or around £50 per day and should be booked up to two weeks in advance by phoning +44 28 9062 8760 or emailing ulr@rascalsdaynurseries.com. Parents will be required to complete registration and terms and conditions forms prior to booking. The day care is located at 27 Upper Lisburn Road, Finaghy, BT10 0GX, which is around 3.7 kilometres from the conference venue. Buses leave regularly from stops on the Lisburn Road which runs parallel to University Road.

Queen’s University Belfast is right beside the City’s Botanic Gardens and the Ulster Museum https://www.ulstermuseum.org/, both of which are free.
