Travel with kid(s)

Should you have your kid(s) with you during the Annual Meeting, we wish to provide you some useful information below.

For your comfort, there is a baby changing room in building A on the ELTE Trefort campus.

Playgrounds near the Meeting venue

Károlyi-kert is within walking distance from ELTE Trefort campus. This French-style urban park is the oldest garden in Budapest. Originally it belonged to the well-to-do Károlyi family, but now operates as a family-friendly public attraction, despite the fences. It’s known for its beautiful plants and flowers, romantic pathways and relaxing atmosphere. A fountain, children’s playground and sundry statuary also feature – our favourite one is the one of the revered Károly, a Belgian giant rabbit and former park resident. Károlyi-kert is an ideal place in the city centre to relax after the session as well.

The recently renovated gardens around the National Museum is an other great option to spend time with your kids. There is also a playground in the garden, which evokes the turn-of-the-century atmosphere of writers Ferenc Molnár and Árpád Pásztor. Their books, the Paul Street Boys and A Muzi, inspire the features here: the toy railway, the ball track and street organ, as well as the climbing slide fashioned like a steam sawmill.

Should you wish to arrange a local, English speaking babysitter for your child at additional costs, please let us know by sending an email to eaa2022am@altagra.hu and we will give you further information.
