Call for sessions

How to submit a session:

Proposing a session can only be done via online submission form available at https://submissions.e-a-a.org/eaa2019/. Current and past EAA members can log in using their EAA credentials (EAA ID, username, password). For assistance with retrieving credentials, please contact the EAA Secretariat at helpdesk@e-a-a.org. Make sure that all personal information is up-to-date before submitting your proposal. Please don't create a new account in case you had one in the past! New members need to sign up for EAA account first at www.e-a-a.org. You will find your EAA ID in your profile (under Membership > My EAA Membership, when signed in at EAA website). As session organiser, you can either pay your membership fees upon signing up or at any time before 17 December 2018 when registering for the Annual Meeting at www.e-a-a.org/eaa2019/registration. Please note that eventually all Annual Meeting delegates must be current EAA members (paid-up for 2019) and pay conference registration fee.

Each session has to be organised by at least two people from two different countries. The person who is submitting the session is considered the first - main session organiser. One person may take part in two sessions, but only in one as a main organiser. Maximum number of session organisers is five, incl. main organiser. No exceptions are possible.

Please note: EAA 2019 has (A) Regular sessions, and (B) Discussion sessions. Regular sessions include both papers and posters, oral presentations are usually 15 minutes long. All other sessions have a special format,  the format of contributions are determined by the session organisers. Discussion sessions can either consist of (pre-circulated) papers, a keynote paper and discussion (papers), pecha kucha presentations (six slides in six minutes 40 seconds), posters exclusively, contributions to a round table etc.

Call for sessions ends on 12 November 2018, 23:59 CET (EXTENDED DEADLINE). After this date the Scientific Committee will evaluate all sessions and decide whether the session is accepted, rejected, recommended for revision or suggested for merger with another similarly themed session. Following the evaluation by the Scientific Committee, the EAA Secretariat opens all approved sessions (that fulfil also all formal criteria - payment of membership and conference registration fee before 17 December 2018 by at least two organisers from at least two countries) for the abstract submission of oral or poster presentations on Wednesday 19 December. Please note that eventually all session organisers, as well as all participants of the Annual Meeting, have to settle both fees. 

Important numbers

Session has to be organised by at least two people from at least two countries. One person may participate in two sessions as a co-organiser or as main organiser and co-organiser. The maximum number of oganisers is 5, incl. the main organiser. The title may have max. 20 words and abstract min. 200 words and max. 300 words.
The EXTENDED deadline for submitting or modifying an abstract is 12 November 2018, 23:59 CET.

Call for sessions

Call for session has been already closed. Proposals are now evaluated by the Scientific Committee and the results will be available under the tab Scientific Programme before 3 December. 

Please note that organisers of accepted sessions should become members for 2019 and register for the conference by 17 December. 

Call for papers will open on 19 December.
