In order for archaeology to reach out to everybody in Barcelona during the EAA Annual Meeting, a host of activities have been planned for citizens and visitors to the city, although participants to the Annual Meeting are also welcome. This event has been funded by the University of Barcelona and Barcelona City Council and is connected to the aims of the European Year of Cultural Heritage (EYCH) 2018. The programme has been organised by M. Díaz-Andreu, Laura Coltofean and Isidre Pastor.
The Archaeology in the Street events will take place in a constellation of public spaces of Barcelona, including the area where the EAA Annual Meeting is taking place, and will include cinema, talks given in many neighbourhoods of Barcelona, a heritage walk, three historical reenactment performances and hands-on
archaeo-activities.
No registration or booking is required, but please take into account that Catalan will be used for most activities.
