Working parties within the Association asses various aspects of European archaeology and notably the profession in order to set priciples to be adhered to by the members and European archaeologists. So far the EAA Membership has approved three codes.
 

	EAA Code of Practice - approved at the ABM of the 3rd Annual Meeting, Ravenna, Italy, 1997.
	EAA Principles of Conduct for Contract Archaeology - approved at the ABM of the 4th Annual Meeting, Göteborg, Sweden, 1998.
	EAA Code of Practice for Fieldwork Training - approved at the ABM of the 10th Annual Meeting, Lyon, France, 2004
