Description
The Danube Bend attracts visitors not only because of its picturesque natural features but also its rich cultural heritage. Participants of this 2-day tour including a river cruise will get an impression of both: stunning views of the Danube Bend and surroundings from Dobogókő, rustic ambience in the narrow cobbled alleys of Szentendre, as well as medieval centres of power and religion at Visegrád and Esztergom.

Day 1
- Departure from Budapest in the morning
- Sightseeing tour of Szentendre and visit to the Skanzen (open-air ethnographical museum)
- River cruise from Szentendre to Visegrád
- Lunch at the Nagyvillám Restaurant in Visegrád
- Guided tour of the Visegrád Palace, the Solomon Tower
OR
- Guided tour of the Visegrád Citadel and archaeological site of Ponte Navata (Roman military fortress)
- Check-in at the hotel in Visegrád
- Dinner with wine tasting in the Panoráma Restaurant in Visegrád
Day 2
- Departure to Esztergom, guided tour of the Castle Museum and the Basilica
- Lunch at the Prímás Cellar in Esztergom
- Hiking tour to the Dobogókő Lookout, with en-route stop at the ruins of the Cistercian monastery and abbey of Pilisszentkereszt (13-15th c. AD)
- Return to Budapest in the evening
