EAA - DGUF Memorandum of Understanding

On 5 September 2018, at the Annual Meeting of the EAA in Barcelona, the European Association of Archaeologists and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ur- und Frühgeschichte (DGUF), represented by their presidents, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations in order to foster collaboration. Both organisations have a commitment to the promotion of archaeology, care for our cultural heritage and good practice in archaeology for the benefit of archaeological research, heritage and practice as well as the social valuing of archaeology in our societies. While EAA and DGUF share common values on archaeology and cultural heritage as learned societies and NGOs, their purposes and roles are different; however, by putting their different strengths into common projects they can support each other.
